Our Commitment to Accessibility

OneLend is committed to ensuring that our business loan marketplace is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to financial services and information should not be limited by a person’s abilities, and we continually work to improve the accessibility of our platform.

We strive to provide an inclusive digital experience so that all Canadian business owners can explore funding options, submit applications, and manage their accounts with ease.

WCAG 2.1 AA Compliance

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:

  • Ensuring sufficient colour contrast ratios across all pages.
  • Providing meaningful alternative text for images and icons.
  • Using semantic HTML to ensure proper document structure.
  • Designing responsive layouts that work across all screen sizes and zoom levels.
  • Testing with automated accessibility tools and manual review.

Keyboard Navigation

Our platform is designed to be fully navigable using a keyboard alone. Key features include:

  • All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable via the Tab key.
  • Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements.
  • Logical tab order that follows the visual layout of each page.
  • Skip-to-content links to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Keyboard-operable dropdown menus, modals, and form controls.

Screen Reader Compatibility

We design and test our platform for compatibility with popular screen readers, including:

  • NVDA (Windows)
  • JAWS (Windows)
  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
  • TalkBack (Android)

We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where needed to provide additional context for dynamic content, form validation messages, and interactive components.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

We take accessibility feedback seriously. If you encounter any barriers or have difficulty accessing any part of our platform, we want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us identify areas for improvement.

When reporting an issue, it is helpful to include:

  • A description of the accessibility problem you encountered.
  • The page URL or section of the platform where the issue occurred.
  • The assistive technology or browser you were using.
  • Any steps to reproduce the issue.

We will acknowledge your report within two (2) business days and work to resolve the issue as promptly as possible.
